FERAL
What is it to be ‘feral’?
There’s a certain way in which the landscape can tell a story. It can suggest, it can tap into some archetype imprinted on us in ways we may not even be aware. Around Savannah, there are these tidal grasslands. They are not visible from the city, but they dictate how life is here, whether we realize it or not. Every day, we have massive storm warnings in the summer. But most of the time, the space between the Atlantic coast and Savannah itself, slows down the hurricane that is predicted. It’s an in=between land, where sometimes its deep water, and other times even within the same day, its just mud. There is no stasis there, its nature is to be in constant flux. It’s not a tameable thing, and so it remains wild.
